November 13th November
Did you know it is International Comfy Day on Sunday 13th November?
Come and meet the Comfy Club artists and their sculptures at Mangotsfield Folly. Eat their cake and take part in colouring sheets, stickers and paper hat making.
Comfy Club are a southwest based collective who naturally formed together after graduating from Bath School of Art in 2021. We explore nostalgia, childhood and friendship through the lens of our contemporary experience.
Sunday 9th October
Join local artist and gardener Jo Ball at Mangotsfield Folly on Sunday 9th October as we plant 1000 Spring bulbs at the site.
Next year the flowers will provide vital early sources of nectar and pollen for insects. There will also be wild garlic for human foragers, a nod to the site’s history as a kitchen garden.
Free event, with tea and cake provided. Bring your own trowel if possible.

Saturday 27th August
This weekend we have a special free event at Mangotsfield Station with ecologist Nick Hudson and artist @feralpractice.
Between 10.30am & 12 noon on Saturday 27 August we welcome families to join us for mini beast hunting. Learn how to use a sweep net and magnifying lenses to examine and draw your finds. We will be making a group artwork inspired by @lucas_antics mural at Mangotsfield Station.
We invite people to bring their own picnic lunch to eat with us (or they can cycle down to @warmley_waiting_room !).
From 1pm – 2.30pm we will have an event aimed at adults and older children where they can find and observe insects in detail, learning more about their ecology, habitats and life challenges.
Discover ways to encourage insects where you live.
